Four-time Gold Glover felt he was missing 'passion'
Gee, I thought he was missing something else --- that began with an 's' and ended in 'teroids'.

Poor guy. There just always seems to be something standing in his way.

Shouldn't the Cubs be knocking on this guys door? He'd be a perfect fit for them... Plus everone wants to play for the Cubs!

Now that would be funny! But really, don't they already have enough washed-up second basemen?

They could promote him as a former all star... that's all you need to be good on the north side, fans would eat it up as the answer to their second base woes!

Boone's 14-year Major League career came to an end Wednesday in the dugout at Tradition Field. The three-time All-Star pointed to his chest, said his inner fire was missing and announced his retirement. He should have pointed to his ass.

He should have pointed to his ass. As in "something" was missing from that area? Do you think it is tract marks?

As in "something" was missing from that area? Do you think it is tract marks? No not at all. Lots of guys' OPS jump 200 pts in one year. At age 32.

Amazing at the 'Hall of Fame' players who suddenly 'lost' it in the last couple years since the steroids revelations. Boone, Sosa, Palmeiro...

I found this Cub-like garbage on an ad for a poster featuring "Boonie":

"From the moment he arrived in Seattle, Bret Boone has performed with class, consistency, and pure excellence! Offensively and defensively, he does it all, making him an instant favorite of Mariners fans."

:puking:

Ugh. Good riddance!
