Interesting insight into his personality: his teenage sister wanted to live close to her high school (CDO) so BA sold his house and purchased one right near the high school for his family.

And why am I not surprised that an outstanding, feel-good, human interest story like this hasn't been picked up by--oh, never mind! Who cares? At least Sox fans know about it. And that's what's most important, after all.
