Per Rotoworld......

Aaron Rowand left yesterday's intrasquad game after being hit in the left shin by a pitch.
It was a curveball, so he's expected to be fine.

Sounds like Aaron being Aaron, crowding the plate and stepping into everything.

Whenever guys land in the opposite batter's box after a swing and a miss (*ahem*, Rowand, Hafner, *ahem*), you know they're going to be among the league leaders in HBP's...

Also, I've observed (over the years) that Rowand locks up his front side, which all but prohibits him from getting out of the way.

Rowand was second in all of MLB in HBP with 21. :o: Shea Hillenbrand had 22.

It seemed like Rowand was getting hit every other day. Hafner only had 9.

The Sox as a team were third in MLB with 79 behind Toronto and Washington who both had 89.

this just proves that Kenny is a genius who knows which players to keep and which to get rid of before it's too late
