It's being broadcast today at MLB.com at this page. This is the Bob Gibson 17 K performace when he outdueled Denny McClain.

This was the first World Series I remember watching as a kid.

Thanks for the link! Those were the days when I would smuggle a transistor radio into school and try to catch as much of the World Series as I could. Gibson was just a beast. He was (and still is, I guess) the reason that the Cardinals were/are my favorite National League team. I was only 11 at the time, and in those days, you only cheered for the Sox and then the American League representative in the World Series. I commited heresy back then by cheering for Gibson and the Cards.

It was a great World Series, I wish they'd put game 7 on. Mickey Lolich comes back on 2 days rest to outduel Bob Gibson. Curt Flood turns the wrong way on Northrups fly to center in the 7th, it ends up being a triple, scoring Norm Cash and Willie Horton. The Tigers win 4-1. Lolich was a workhouse on the mound, making 40+ starts and pitching 300+ innings from 1971-1974. There was no obsession with pitch counts back then.
