I think people will be pleasantly surprised by Anderson's performance this year. I really belive he has the makings of a pretty damn good player.

Nope.. Dead serious. I think Joe will put a few folks on their heels in excitement.

I hope you are right! I think Vazquez has nowhere to go but up. I think our 5th starter may turn out to be much better than others in the rotation.

Borchard is already a player, just not a good one. And I have yet to see any evidence that leads me to believe otherwise. Though we'll see how he does this spring. Before he can "emerge into a player" he has to make the team. Which isn't a lock right now.

As for someone who might emerge. I could see how this could finally be the year where Crede has a consistant year with the bat. That would be great to see happen. Hopefully he can build on the confidence he showed during the last month of the season and his strong playoff performance.

I say, Chad Bentz if he makes the team. Also, look for Freddy to rebound.

Joe Crede
But would it be much of a surprise? This is considering his outstanding September, and in my opinion, he would've been the MVP of the playoffs if there was such an honor. Am I wrong in saying that I'm expecting him to succeed this year?

Javy Vazquez and B.A. will emerge this year, possibly a Jerry Owens too.

I don't think you are wrong to expect him to succeed. But I do think if Crede put together a season where he hit for a consistantly good average each month it would be a suprise only because he has never done it before. We've seen that he can go on streaks where he is a great hitter, like he did last season at the end of the year, but he has yet to do it over the long haul.

I agree with you. . . Anderson would be my pick, too. I expect maybe a slow start, but by July, I'm predicting a Rookie of the Year candidate.

TA-DA-HI-TO!!!

And, he'll become just as solid defensively as Uribe. We'll have a killer middle infield.

I think Borchard will come around this year.

Anderson will have a steady but not spectacular year in 2006.

That Konerko kid will have a pretty decent year and finally get out of Borchard's shadow. Good thing we locked him into a long contract before he became expensive.

Nancy will make an announcement that she will play at all games!

I real don't see or feel "surprise" years from anyone yet...but then if I could, it wouldn't be a "surprise," would it?

As for Borchard, I don't think so...

I say Anderson. He's the only one we really haven't seen much of in MLB.
