Guilt worked in coaxing A-Rod to join the WBC, but it didn't work on Matsui.

After working a $52 mil/4 yr deal from the Yank$ Matsui is comfortable in saying no to the WBC.

Always been a fan of julio. Classy guy, and still putting up numbers despite his age, pretty incredible.

The Mets are just signing everybody this winter. I hope Manos makes the team.

Same here, he just quietly puts up decent numbers each year. I hope he has a nice two year tenure with the Mets.

Go on Kenny. Swing a midseason trade for Julio after the Mets fall six games out in July to the Braves.

He's played a lot of years but only one with the Sox and that was his best year, at least in terms of homeruns and rbis.
