Pretty stupid publicity stunt if you ask me. "Get it? Cause, you know... birds... they, um, fly..." :dunno:

Last week's brazen, um, "theft" of a dozen 12-foot tall Cardinals cutouts from six area highway billboards over the weekend shocked people. It's those Cubs fans, some figured. They're behind this.

Nobody panic. The Cardinals are safe.

I actually think that was very clever, something outside of the norm for a huge buisness player.

I liked it, it isn't going to get me in St. Louis...but it was cool.

Do the Cardinals need a stunt like this? It's not like they need advertising in the 1st place being the only team in the area. Making the playoffs consistently helps too.

Definatly interesting. I kind of like it, a bit out of the box. :D:

Okay, let me make sure I've got this straight. The people in St. Louis fell for this, right?

See now, this would only be "brilliant" if the cardinals somehow turned up at 1060 W. Addison.

Then I'd laugh.

Oh man, that would be a good one. Or how about showing up at the AL Central stadiums they will be visitng this season?

I'm a life long White Sox fan, but now live in the St. Louis suburbs. The Cardinals are my now my second favorite team. They are a distant second, but you have to like a team when their entire fan base hates the Cubs.

The Cardinals billboard has another billboard behind it for 550 KTRS radio, their new flagship radio station. The missing cardinals have reappeared this morning on the KTRS billboard, with the slogan: "The Cardinals have moved to their new home on 550".

They blew it.Yeah. There was a slim chance this "campaign" could've still turned out pretty clever. But nope. Lame-o...

Maybe they'll do what Milo Hamilton wishes and poop all over the Harry statue. Actually, I wish they would poop all over KTRS because that station sucks.

KTRS does suck, but at least they were smart enough to hire John Rooney...

Now if they stole John Rooney off of a billboard in Chicago and he turned up on one in St. Louis... :D:
