That's a great picture.

What I would really like to see is one of Contreras' slide. That one was so bad that Ozzie said, no more.

That's prolly how The Fridge would slide. lol

What is he doing?
Ozzie made the whole pitching staff practice their slides so no one would get hurt during inter-league play.
I heard the Contreras' was the worst though.

Uhhh...I thought it had been said that he had lost some weight and gotten into a little better shape in the off-season ? (Inset joke here about what "shape" he's in).

Somehow, Jenks managed to avoid creating any kind of earthquake activity (http://earthquake.usgs.gov/eqcenter/recenteqsus/Maps/US10/27.37.-115.-105.php).

As long as that fastball still moves and the batters go after that curve like they're going after a swarm of gnats, I don't care what he looks like.

I'm pissed, he looks to be in terrible condition. You would think that after being handed the closer role that he would bust his hump this off season and make an effort to come into camp in good shape

First off I don't think he was really handed anything. Hermanson went down, but there were other options besides Jenks, and Jenks earned it. Furthermore, Hermanson was available in the playoffs and Jenks played so well that he kept Hermanson off the field.

As far as being in bad shape, he doesn't really look any different to me then he did last year. All that is important is if he can stay health and throw hard with that body. Chances are if he comes in at 230 pounds he loses 5 mph on his fastball and sucks. Let's wait til we see him pitch before we rip on him. Jeez.

Anyone remember that one Mo Vaughn slide at home plate (when he was on the Mets, actually playing believe it or not)... it was how I'd imagine Jenks' looking in real life, he sorta feel near the plate, then kinda crawled over to touch it, it was a thing of beauty.

Apparently the Jenks slide set-off this...

No Buddy Lee was one of the nicknames for Royce "the choice" Clayton who seemed to always look just fine no matter how disaterous the play he was involved in was.
