Great. Thanks for adding nothing, George.

Ozzie: "I apologize."
Steinbrenner: "Yeah, you better apologize! And shut up!"

“When he gets with the team here, it will be fine. Count on A-Rod,” Steinbrenner said.

Unless it's an important at-bat in the playoffs, then A-Fraud will roll over and play dead.

George Steinbrenner wants Ozzie Guillen to zip his lips.

Baseball would have been a lot better off if George would have zipped his lips over the years.

Steinbrenner certainly has earned his critics over the years, but recent articles indicate he is slipping quite rapidly mentally. He didn't recognize Reggie Jackson last year. It might be a good idea for Ozzie and the rest of us to walk away from this one.

I remember there's a Seinfeld episode that ends with Steinbrenner listing off all the people he regrets getting rid of over the years. He actually says Billy Martin a bunch of times. Funny stuff.

Evidently, Steinbrenner pounced when Ozzie showed weakness. After Oz jumped Joe Torre and then ARod, you know "The Boss" couldn't have been very happy. He must have smelled blood when Ozzie apologized to Rodriguez and the Yankee organization. Despite all the crazy stuff Steinbrenner has pulled over the years, afterwards he's been known more for "no comment" than for any sign of remorse. A long time ago, I remember him apologizing for something once, but damned if I can remember what. He'll never change. As for Oz, he's gonna get more press and scrutiny as a World Series Champion manager than he ever imagined. I do believe that he's going to have to mellow a bit, and that he will while he matures as a manager and our team leader. But who knows? He's still Ozzie.

Congratulations, George. Way to waste a lot of breath on a pointless rant. Btw, you should know by now that even your team of overpaid superstars can't stop us.

That was the most pointless article I ever read.

Does the media get paid to do this?

This just in.... "Diet Coke Tastes Like Crap Compared to Real Coke" and in other news, "Local Man takes a breath, Again!"

Unless it's an important at-bat in the playoffs, then A-Fraud will roll over and play dead.

After the 2005 ALDS,the New York Toast (I mean Post) had headlines
reading "A Pooch" and "A Dog" after A-Fraud correctly admitted that
he stunk in the playoffs.

To quote David Gates of the 70's soft rock group Bread,
"It Don't Matter To Me".Yes,it's a song title,not just a lyric.

I checked out one of the related stories on MSNBC's 2006 picks.
They picked the White Sox in the Central, but placed the Tiggers
and Royals above the Twinkies.:o:

They also picked the O's to win the AL East and
the "God Awful North Side Failures" in the NL Central.:o:

Yes,I know "anything can happen" in baseball,but that's a bit ridiculous,IMHO.

The drugs must be pretty good on the East Coast.

No, you have to click on the teams for their predicted finish. They're in alphabetical order. They picked the Twins to finish 3rd with an 82-80 record. Baltimore was picked to finish last with a 71-91 record and for the Cubs? They were picked to finish fourth with an 82-80 record. The White Sox were picked to finish first of course, with a 94-68 record:cool:

I think it would be best for Ozzie not to respond.

Let the team be the story. The defending World Champions are reporting to Spring Training and the biggest story is.... Ozzie ripping a player on the Yankees. Ozzie admitted he was wrong. Now he would be wise to stop talking about the story and focus on his team.

I find it funny that anyone, media included, would consider Ozzie's big mouth akin to a never-experienced-before baseball phenomenon. It's as if Leo Durocher never existed.

I love this exposure. I hope people in New York get as tired of seeing
Ozzie on the tube as much as we've grown tired of seeing Joe Torre on it.

You know in his heart that Big George would take Oz as the Yankees
skipper in a (may I be punny?) New York minute if it were possible. To
quote Dana Carvey as Bush I: "Na Ga Da"! We have the best manager
in baseball in my opinion and that's something else to drive Whinebrenner crazy.:bandance:

AMEN! That and the fact that Yankees fans had to wake up and realize that Midwest teams with lower payrolls ARE better.

I guess they're finally starting to realize that baseball actually exists outside of New York and Boston.

Isn't that something the Trumpster would do?

No, the Donald would do this:

"Log, I cannot have you tripping me. It's not good for business to have my Donald Trump Collection clothes covered in mud and dirt. You should not be in a position where you could cause people injury. Log, you're fired."
