For those of you who are in the Western Suburbs, the World Series Trophy will be in the Naperville St Patricks Day Parade thru downtown Naperville on Saturday March 11th from 11am to 1pm-ish.

Afterwards, we'll have a Trophy Party at Quigleys (630-428-4774), 43 E. Jefferson (1/2 block east of Washington St) from 2pm on. Dont say you didnt see the Trophy out in the western burbs.

Should be a blast Hangar. Judging from the noise from fireworks and honking cars all over Naperville and Lisle last October, the "other trophy" will be well received. Then it's off to Quigley's for a couple of :gulp:.

You've got to bring the "other" trophy to the Southside parade. You'll get a bigger welcome than the mega-Jewel shopping cart that whips the crowd into a frenzy.

Yes it is. Western Avenue from 103rd to 115th. I don't march in it, but I'm sure there are a few WSIers that could "sponsor" you in their group.

Without going into too much detail, you might want to look for a firetruck with a certain Hangar18 displaying the trophy over his head to the cheers of many. By the time it leaves my neighborhood, there'll be a caravan heading to Naperville. Gonna be fun.

Naperville, you say? Right next to good ol' Bolingbrook!

QUIGLEY'S YOU SAY? Don't mind if I do! :gulp:

Hopefully I can hit up the South Side as well, I haven't been in recent years. We'll see if I can convince my brother to go out drinking with me. Nobody likes to drink alone.

Of course, if anyone wants to even squeeze into any bar on Western that day, he'd have to get there about 5 hours ahead of time...or maybe not leave from the night before.

A few months ago we discussed the possibility of Hangar's Trophy Tour coming to Naperville around this time of year. So, are there any specific plans? Should I keep this Saturday evening open and head over to Quigley's?

YES, Glad you brought this up. As you may have heard, the "Other" Trophy will be in the Naperville St. Pats Parade Saturday March 11th.

Immediately afterwards, about 1pm-ish, there will be a Trophy Party @ Quigleys 43 E Jefferson, downtown Naperville. The place will be packed, as will the area so come early. The good folks at Quigleys will have a special table/pedestal for The Trophy too.

For those of you on the northside of the city, there will be a Trophy Party @ Grizzlies 3832 N Lincoln on Friday March 31st 7pm. 1 blk north of Addison.

The "other" Trophy is an exact scale, full-size replica of the Real Trophy.
How many times can one say theyve kicked back and had a Beer with the Trophy?

Wasn't this originally booked for March 24th?

They have Golden Gloves Boxing at St. Andrews (a few blocks away) which I want to catch before stopping in. Is the 31st definite? Thanks.

Good to see Hangar at Quigley's this afternoon. Great job with the other trophy. My daughter Annie thought it was really cool too. I'll post the pics later. You'll especially enjoy the one with Lindsey Lohan (sp?), or a girl that Hangar thought looked like her...

Hangar,

Thanks for joining in the fun. You were the talk of the parade and after-party. I especially enjoyed the guy at Naperville North who kept muttering "no way is that the trophy" "no way is that the trophy". I calmed him down. Let's hope next year it's the other "trophies" tour.

See you soon.

MadetoOrta

PS: Nice meeting you Dr. Crawdad
