Who is your sleeper player this Spring, that is, a person who will surprise people with his performance during the Spring (possibly a NRI) and jump on the map, so to speak?

I am gonna go with Chad Bentz. Hopefully, he proves to be another diamond in the rough, KW guy. I'd like to see him succeed at the ML level.

It seems the last few years, the Sox have benefitted greatly from a breakout performance in ST. Loaiza, Uribe, Widger/Ozuna... who will be next?

Chad Bentz? Tim Redding? Lopez? Randolph? Almanza?

My money is on Uribe proving he is more than a one-sided, free-swinging defensive wizard. I'd love to see him flourish in the two hole.

I agree with Joe Borchard. He's got a lot to prove and is basically auditioning for the CFL.

Joe Borchard

Borchard has had good Springs before, but I definitely want to see him have a great enough one make this club out of ST as an extra OF. The at-bats he got at the end of last year were sort of a teaser, because you caught a glimpse of what he could bring to the table. But also, you have that below .190 BA in '04 that also shows you what he could bring to the table.

Stephen Randolph steps up and fills the void at left handed relief pitching.

Was going to say Joe B but he's seems to be a popular choice. I really think, if it works out, Iguchi is going to be a monster hitting lower in the lineup. He's had a season to adjust to new parks, pitchers, more games, etc. So I'm going with Iguchi

I'm going with Crede in a contract year. He's gonna be his usual stead self in the field, but put it together at the dish this year. It wouldn't surprise me to see him put up solid numbers across the board.

Either Chad Bentz or Rusty Tucker. Though any of the 8 million NRI left-handers that are in camp works.

Iguchi because I think he's gonna do some damage batting lower in the lineup.

i like both to make the club.

Sweeney could hit .500 and he still wouln't make the team. He's not ready. It would take injuries to several other guys for Sweeney to be on the Sox on April 2.

My pick to click, or to open some eyes this spring, will be Ray Liotta. I think with a solid season at AA, he could be on the White Sox in 2007.

I'm also looking forward to seeing Charlie Haeger's knuckleball. If he can throw it for strikes, we may see him sometime during this season.

Crede's not in his contract year.

I'll nominate LTP as well.

I have a feeling Brandon McCarthy will have a huge spring because he'll be getting plenty of chances to do so.

I also hope that Crede will have a good spring as well.
