A guy I work with has the crystal ball, and it is indeed quite sweet.

My Ma ordered the crystal ball and lighted stand for me and my wife for Christmas. It might be the only crystal we ever end up owning (until the next World Series title). It is actually pretty cool.

I got my wife the crystal ball and my sister-in-law the home plate for Christmas. I bought them both from Charcrews and they're a very reputable place. The ball is a lot nicer and cheaper than the Waterford ball being sold at Marshall Field's. Their delivery is very quick and dependable too. This ends my endorsement of Charcrews. Thank you

Where did you get a stand for it? I got mine for Christmas and have been looking for a nice stand for it.

Here are some links. I think that you would need to light them yourself.

The stand I received is nothing fancy, but it illuminates the ball nicely. I will check with my cousin to see where she found the stand and post it.

I got the baseball for Christmas, too. It's beautiful. A lighted stand would be great. But, somehow I missed seeing it in the links.

The cap and homeplate are awesome, too. They only made 10,000 of them. Mine is numbered 5,406. What number do you guys have?

My cousin purchased Sox crystal balls from:

EUROPEAN IMPORTS & GIFTS INC. 7900 N MILWAUKEE AVE. OAK MILL MALL. NILES, IL60714-3156. 847-967-5253.
http://www.europeanimports.com (http://www.europeanimports.com/)

She purchased so many of the balls for friends and family, the store gave her the lighted stands.

Item #: 994-740
Desscription: Magic lamp-white light
Price: $9.99

DISCLAIMER: The stand is nothing fancy. It is 2 3/4" x 2 3/4" x 1" high and runs on 3 AAA batteries. It is made of plastic. However, unless you or your guests are art curators, this inexpensive stand is a nice way to display the ball.

I imagine other collectables stores sell the same lighted stand too. If you do plan to visit the store in person, call ahead to ensure they have the stand and so that it can be retrieved from stock. My cousin indicated their inventory may be off site or that the stands were buried in the back.

This site has lighted stands for crystal, but the dimensions might dwarf the ball.

If neither of these options work, perhaps WSI can commision Hangar to manufacture a line of limited edition stands.

The one Marshall Field's was selling around Christmas was just the regular Sox Waterford baseball with "2005 World Series Champions" etched underneath the logo. It was also about $30 more at the time. They may be carrying a ball identical to the one offered by Charcrews now, I don't know. I went to buy it at Field's the day after Thanksgiving and I didn't like it, so I checked out Charcrews and bought it there. I know they're both Waterford, at the time Charcrews was carrying the ball with the WS champs logo and Field's wasn't. Like I said, they may be now.

I could not find the item on their website either. It probably necessitates a phone call to them to see if it can be ordered via their website.
