Is there a way to find out when WSI went "online?" If so we should make that an unoffical, or official, holiday around these parts.

It could be a good reason to have an extra round of the Festivus "Airing of Grievances" and the "Feats of Strength." I'm in. :gulp:

If I'm not mistaken, George made the initial pages for the site over Thanksgiving 1998. Not 100% sure though.

That's the story (http://whitesoxinteractive.com/Columnists/Bova/AllAboutWSI.htm). PHG, of course, could expand on this more than me, but I'm pretty sure WSI was launched the night of Thanksgiving in 1998, which would make the site's birthday November 26.

Well done. Yes, that's exactly how it went down. The WSI Manifesto (http://whitesoxinteractive.com/Columnists/Bova/Welcome.htm) was written in 1997, over a year before the site itself was created.

I was going to say July of 2001, but that's only the most recent incarnation.

I only wish I'd found it earlier than the summer of 2000...

No kidding, where the hell was I at? I've been surfing since about '95.
