I go to the site every once in a while to get a laugh, and just see some rumors that might or might not be true. I know I am going to get ripped for looking at the site. I found it funny that they use WSI for a source, yet just refer to us as "a message board." More like "THE" message board.

How about Bobby Abreu and Gavin Floyd to the White Sox for Jermaine Dye and Jose Contreras? According to message boards, Philly radio personality Howard Eskin originated this one.

Anybody know if the writer for the site posts here, what's he post under?

:puking:

I don't know who he is, but if he comes to WSI and looks in the Parking Lot for trade rumors, hes got the wrong idea.

I think they use the bathroom wall for trade rumors.

I think they use the bathroom wall for trade rumors.Compared with third-hand information on internet message boards, I'm not sure which is worse.

I think they may have been referring to the Phillies message board. As well as Philly sportstalk radio.

So people there make up stupid ass rumors that get posted here by people with nothing better to discuss and suckers who actually believe them, and then that site posts crap made up here by people with nothing better to discuss and people spending time with their mothers-in-law. It's come full circle!

The guy is based out of Lombard and is a Cubs fan. I just went to that sorry site, and he refrenced some radio guy from Philly as the guy who started the rumor. In any case, it is a site that clearly states that it's rumors are not based on anything except any idiot throwing one out there.

Is that usually how the "experts" in the sports media handle trade rumors...just idiots making it up?
