Just checking. I parked in the Grant Park garage Friday and the walk was no big deal, but Saturday's forecast calls for rain so I'd like to park in the Hyatt garage provided they aren't charging $30-plus like last year.

I showed up here at the Hyatt at 3pm and was told that parking was full. I ended up parking in the Illinois Center Garage across the street, but at the time the lot was full so I left my keys and they parked my car into a spot that opened later.

Just a warning...it's ****ing crazy here.

I parked in the Aon Building last night. Got in at about 4:00 and left at 11:00. It cost me 13 bucks.

I parked across the street in the garage. I paid $20. I had very little room to pull out. The spot said small cars only. Of course, a mini-van parked next to me... I made it out ok.

I remember parking last year at the Millennium garage. It was very reasonable, easy in and out on a Sunday and just a couple of blocks walk to the fest. By far the best parking experience I've ever had for Soxfest. I paid, if I remember correctly between 10 and 12 dollars.

I've parked in the Grant Park garages the first two days as I don't want to be taken to the cleaners by the Hyatt like last year. I'm still wondering about the Hyatt's parking price this year as more rain is expected Sunday and I'd like to avoid the walk down Michigan Avenue if I can help it.

C'mon now, someone must have used the Hyatt's parking by now. What are they charging?

My sister went on saturday and said the Hyatt was charging something like 39 bucks to park for 6 hours or more.

I should have rented out my CTA EMERG. VEHICLE placard for the weekend, I could have made a fortune.

Things like that never happen in Chicago. :D:
