Never underestiamte the power of power? But Marriotti said that the Sox should give up the power and go for more small ball.

Go Go Go? - But Marriotti said the Sox are stupid to be trading away all of their homerun hitters and should try to play small ball.

Good stuff Two by Four!
I like the Jenks ad.

BTW, though i've never seen them in the same room, i'm pretty sure Two by Four and Brooks are two different people.

Brooks and I are certainly not the same person. I like Brooks, but I wouldn't want his job. Besides I get to own an agency that has beer on tap, a pool table, putting green, and I get to write Sox ads. I'm good just being me...

My fault. Force of habit. I thank Brooks when the sun comes out sometimes.

Awesome ads. My favorite is the "If at first you succeed, repeat."

:bandance:I like that one, too. But there really should be a comma after "succeed" instad of a period. The way it's written, it's a very awkward sentence fragment.

I love them otherwise!

Actually, the one up there is an old version. We already made that change. That one is just a typo. Good catch.

The new grinder rule ads look great! My favorite has to be: "If at first you succeed, repeat." It would be great to see one with Kenny or JR. I can't wait till opening day!

I wouldn't. I like the fact that we just ignore the Chubs completely and focus on our success.

If I may draw your attention to Grinder rules 58 and 66:

58. Don't throw back a home run ball.
66. There is nothing loveable about losing.

And 2X4, these new posters are.....um

Two X Four...You should do something along the lines of that 99 minute game that Buehrle threw last April. Something like Grinder Ball Rule #99 to recognize that.

We have an intern program and if you qualify, you could be a summer intern. Serious. But being a advertising company, we usually hire collge kids looking to get into advertising or marketing.

None will ever be as good IMO as the "No crying unless your eyes burn with champagne" but I think the "Never Underestimate the Power of Power" is clearly the best out of those.

My girlfriend is graduating this spring with a bachelor's in marketing and she really loves Chicago - is there any way that you could PM me a place to send any resumes?

If you can, I would very much appreciate it! Thanks.

Thank you. You guys are like a fine wine - getting better as time goes on.

PS Although I am not a college student, and haven't been for over 25 years,
if you are ever in the position where you need a 47, fellow Napervillian, who majored in Journalism, please let me know. I work cheap:D:

Two By Four...another excellent job. I like that you guys are continuing with the Grinder Rules this year. My personal favorite of that bunch is #59 Go. Go. Go. just because it reminds me of being at the park, which I miss very much this time of the year.

For those asking about Grinder posters, they have one on sale at the Garage Sale for $20. It has 8 grinder rules in 8x10 format and the other square is the Sox Pride logo. The rules on it are 1, 2, 6, 7, 18, 25, 33, and 39. I also scored another one in the grab bag it has the El Duque ALDS game 3 ad, the ALCS 4 complete games ad, and the playoff "hereos" ad.

That one is my favorite. Very subtle and well done, IMO.

I know the 2005 White Sox have officially eclipsed the 1959 version as "the" great team for this franchise, but I still think it would be nice to tie in the history of the Sox with some of these. Maybe Nellie Fox turning a double play with Juan Uribe, or something. I don't know. They're always great anyway.

Can't get enough of that trophy raising, though.

TwoxFour marketed his birth so well, it was broadcast live on all the major networks interrupting the State of the Union speech. Since then it's been made into an Oscar winning movie and the book is still on the NY Times bestseller list. (Personally, my favorite part is when TwoxFour lept out of the womb and roundhoused the camera man in the face for not getting his good side.)

By the way, TwoxFour, your marketing campaigns are brilliant. (I wish I had a message board of my peers to check up on and see the constant praise right around 2:00pm when you wanna get out of the office.) And if I wasn't in architecture, and graduating this spring, and already had a paying internship, I would be the first to apply with a resume full of fabricated work experiences that would ensure free beer, free tickets and extremely large grinder posters.

I continue to anxiously await your work in the future.
