When does the Hall of Fame Veterans Committee announce its selections for induction?

There is no standard Hall of Fame Veterans Committee vote this year. However, a special Negro League ballot was developed during the offseason. A special committee will meet at the end of February and announce which of the 39 players Negro League players under consideration will be inducted along with Bruce Sutter.

The next regular Veterans Committee election will be held in 2007. Veterans Committee elections currently take place ever other year (the last being in 2005 - no player was selected. Gil Hodges & Santo were the closest (65%). 75% is needed for induction).

Probably a cubans hat. Honestly though who knows?

I think this is Minnie's best chance of getting into the Hall, and I think he is considered one of the frontrunners.
