Today, and each of the following three weekends, Cooper, who makes his offseason home in Nashville, will conduct pitching sessions at NYIT's pitching workshop in Old Westbury. It's one thing for someone with Cooper's Q rating to do an occasional high-profile gig, as was the case Friday at the Mohegan Sun's World Baseball Coaches Convention. It's another to commit a month to something decidedly low profile.

He turned 50 today (January 15), so Don Cooper, :happybday .

This is a pretty good story. Even though he's the pitching coach of one of the best staffs in the game and just won a World Series, he hasn't changed a bit. Just awesome.
