One AB in the World Series....got a basehit vs. Lidge and eventually scored the best run in White Sox history and for that, I wish him all the successes in Denver.

He did? Blum's HR or Konerko's Grand Slam?? Maybe Pods' walk-off... but THE biggest hit in Sox history, based on your criteria would HAVE TO be Dye's RBI single.

Hopefully Willie will score the gig, but alas, he's gone.

The Rockies, meanwhile, are ready to finalize a deal with right- handed pitcher Byung-Hyun Kim. Because of ongoing visa problems, Kim cannot come to Denver to meet with club officials but ...
Now this interests me! Anybody know what kind of problems?

Now this interests me! Anybody know what kind of problems?Visa problems can happen all the time, the main reason for them is that they last for a set time and renewing them on the fly is always difficult.

The Rockies are continuing to talk with the agent for infielder Willie Harris, but contrary to a newspaper Internet report Saturday, the sides have not agreed on a one- year deal with a base salary of $850,000.

The Rockies have offered slightly more than half that as a base salary for Harris, who spent part of last season in the minor leagues.

Is it bad when the only offer you can get is about $500,000 from the Rockies?

Meanwhile, Harris's Chicago spokesperson, Bafiarocks03, insisted that no deal will be completed until she can review the terms. Bafia added, "A contract? Just because my Willie has a contract in Denver doesn't mean he's going to forget us!!!! Psht!!"

Need to read the rest of the story.

Moving on several fronts today, the Rockies acquired Wilson, finalized starter Byung-Hyun Kim's $1.5 million contract and moved closer to signing versatile Eli Marerro. Wilson provides protection at shortstop and organizational depth as Omar Quintanilla develops. The team would like to have Wilson compete for a utility role and has intensified its pursuit of former Twins second baseman Luis Rivas. The Rockies remain interested in Willie Harris and have cooled on Alex S. Gonzalez and Ramon Martinez.
