I this would be a cool thread, with all the great minor league hats and logos. Kind of a spinoff from the other thread.

I love the Rainiers one, but then I'm a little biased as a Rainier Season Ticket holder.
Here is my other favorite one http://www.logoserver.com/baseball/GreatFallsWhiteSox.GIF Oh didn't know about this one but I like this one too http://www.logoserver.com/baseball/OremOwlz.GIF

I've always like the White Caps name and logo. Then when Lansing got a team to come to town, they had a big name the team contest so they could come up with something equally cool, and instead they came up with Lugnuts. . . and their logo is a bolt. pathetic.

A bit WOOT to the Great Falls Sox logo...being that I live a little over 4 hours from Great Falls.
I'm from Billings, so I try to go to the games when the Billings Mustangs (Reds Affiliate) plays them.

The Chattanooga Lookouts has always been my favorite, though I do like this one, for nothing more than it's sheer silliness.

Personally, I think this thread would get a lot more responses if we asked for worst minor league logo.

I'm originally from Great Falls and remember them being affiliated with the Dodgers. I've been out in the Seattle area now for almost 14 years, but I still keep an eye on the home town sports. At some point I'd like to get home in the summer again and get to a few games.

I never knew that they are the 2005 Northern League champs.

The Montgomery Biscuits
That logo rules! I mean, the biscuit is split horizontally and a pat of butter is his tongue! How can you not like that? Although the hat looks more like a cuddly stack of pancakes than a biscuit.

Altoona's park is one of the better Minor League ones in the country. They're the Bucs AA.
They also have a low A team an hour north of Penn State in Williamsport, called the Crosscutters. They play at Boehem Field, the Fenway/Wrigley of minor league stadiums.

The roller coaster out in right field looks awesome. Was that built for the park?

Are they the team that had the bandanna over the front of the baseball? If so, that was an awesome logo! Why the hell they would get rid of that for this piece of crap is beyond me.

Sure was!
Penn State has a branch campus in Altoona where I did a few semesters, a town about 45 minutes south of State College. Used to go there for $5 with student I.D. along with $1 drafts. Caught many a rising star at that park. The town itself is a dump, but the park is only about 6 years old.

When the Gary Southshore Railcats were born I was nervous either the uniforms would look like garbage, the logo would be stupid, the stadium would be a blunder, or all of the above. Well I had no reason on all 3 accounts to worry. And on top of all that, 2005 Northern League Champs!

I live in the Quad Cities and everyone here was very upset about the name and logo change. We had a new owner of the team that was pushing for a new stadium and along with that he wanted everyone to buy new everything. Thats why he went with a new name... and to make it worse it's not even like a real name... you have to say it like this...
The Swing of the Quad Cities... kind of reminds you of Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim...
ugh!!!!
The new stadium rocks though!

One of my roomates at school is originally from the Quad Cities and he says everyone back home hates the new logo and ****, too.
Peoria's A-ball team, the Chiefs had a bad-ass logo 2 years ago when they were under the direction of the St. Louis Cardinals,
http://mlb.imageg.net/graphics/product_images/pMLB2-1561315reg.jpg http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/images/baseball/minors/midwest/logos/100/peo_100.gif
However, since the Cubs have taken over, not surprisingly, the team and its logo have turned to crap...

A dog? ***? I actually think incorporating a Bear of some kind would have been sweet, but not, the PC police strike again with some idiotic dalmation fire dog.
The teams' really old logo is really sweet, but probably too offensive for modern American standards.

I like this one for the simple fact that it's a Simpsons reference. Or maybe the Simpsons stole it from them...

No, it's definitely in reference to the Simpsons episode.

Was able to purchase a tshirt with all the minor league logos on it. Purchased it on a baseball road trip this past summer while in Omaha.

Definitally taken from the Simpsons. I remember when they had a vote for the name of the team when it was either established, or moved there, I dont know what it was, but Isotopes won.

They moved. The short history is that Alburquerque had a team, the Dukes, for a long time, but they moved to Portland to become the Beavers. The town was baseball-less for a couple of years, before the Calgary Cannons (a Sox AAA team for a year or so, IIRC) moved down to become the Isotopes.

The Dukes logo was actually pretty good, too, as far as minor league teams go.
