Trade Idea.

I have been hearing rumors about how the Astros might have interest Contreras and that in return we would want Taveras and bullpen help, so I came up with this trade idea...

WHITE SOX GIVE: Contreras, Anderson, Reynoso
ASTROS GIVE: Taveras, Wheeler, Gallo, Pitching Prospect

WHITE SOX GET: Taveras, Wheeler, Gallo, Pitching Prospect
ASTROS GIVE: Contreras, Anderson, Reynoso

This helps both teams in many ways. We get the speed Ozzie wants (Taveras) and fill a couple voids in the bullpen (Wheeler [RHRP], Gallo [LHRP]). The Astros replace Clemens with Contreras, get Anderson for some pop in their lineup, and Reynoso for the bullpen. Our Roter would be something like this...

I hate to even dignify this proposal with a response, but I'd rather have Anderson than Taveras, I have no interest in Gallo, and not a lot in Wheeler. Without knowing what the 'stros have for prospects, it's hard to find anything on the ML roster worth trading Contreras for.

I have another trade idea that might sound a little better. What about if the Cubs could get Tejada for Prior then the Orioles would send over Prior,Bruce Chen & Jorge Julio for Jose Contreras and Javier Vazquez. I understand that Julio was awful last year but Cooper might be able to help him out here and he might feel more comfertable playing for Ozzie especially when Julio is from the same country.
