That's probably when I'll be seeing it too, unless I can get down to Orland Square tomorrow.

I think I'm going to have to make a little road trip to Lansing to see trophy in which I grew up. Then I'll head off to Schoop's Hamburgers on Ridge Road for a celebration.

I read somewhere that this tour is going through June or July, so they'll keep adding dates

Just tell me when it's coming to Denver!

I think it goes through Denver in late February, the western Canadian provinces in March, the Far East in April, the Azores in May with the possibility of an NWI trip in September. Unfortunately, you'll have to have your picture taken with it as it speeds along the Borman in the back of a Suburban as your standing on an overpass.

I'm assuming they'll bring it to spring training. Hope I'm right!

Better get there early. My Dad and I went to Gaeilc Park on Monday, the 27th. It started at 10:00 but we got there at 9:00. We were pretty close to the front of the line, but by the time they opened, the line was out the door and through the parking lot. I heard they had to turn over 400 people away.

You're is a contraction of the words 'you are.' An example of its use would be: "You're incorrect." 'Your' is the possessive form of you. Example: "Your comprehension of the English language is poor."

My brother went to see it in Crestwood tonight. He told me he'd give me a call if the crowd wasn't too outrageous. And guess what? My phone didn't ring! So I guess wherever you go to see it, GO EARLY!!

This is the most awesome news of the year and would be the best Christmas present ever that they are bringing the trophy to Bloomington!...and for the wait in line...really close to a Krispy Kreme :bandance:

You're correct. I misread and therefore misunderstood and hyper-corrected you. I was wrong. Apologies all around, and all of you who zinged me back were correct.

Um, this is strange. There is a Nextel, NOT a US Cellular store, at the address given for the Bloomington/Normal trophy visit location. The US Cellular store is in a different strip Mall. Whats the deal with that?

Is anyone else planning on making the journey to Gurnee on Sunday to see the trophy?

I finally have a day off and am making the trip!

I went today in Deerfield, and I was getting my picture taken in front of the White Sox truck, and I saw a guy in a yellow M&M's jacket walking across the parking lot. I immediately blurted out, "that's the M&M guy!" My mom gave me a wierd look, and didn't know what I was talking about. However it turns out he wasn't the M&M guy, just a guy wearing a yellow M&M's jacket, because he walked into the children's store next door to the US Cellular store. I guess it was just a funny coincidence.

I am thinking about driving out to Guernee today to do this.....it starts in an hour and will take us almost that to get there.....am I shooting myself in the foot? Will the line be too long?

If it's anything like the crowds the last few times, you need to leave right now to have any chance. And even then, you might be cutting it close (depends on how long it's supposed to be there and whether or not the trophy is supposed to make any other appearances tonight).

it's there until 5pm and it is not going anywhere else tonight.....

we are going to try.....and if we don't make it, at least we get out of the house for a mini-road trip and enjoy the much needed SUNSHINE!! :D:

I went to the Jan 2 stop. Not only did they start early, there was no crowd. Maybe 20-30 people waiting at it's largest.......we were able to take as many pics as we wanted on all our camera/camera phones.....
Gene

p.s. suggested donation means free......they were not enforcing the 10 dollar fee(we still paid)

we went....we made the donation.....we got our picture taken.

Too bad the lighting was terrible and it might be the worst picture of me ever taken. Other than that, it was awesome to see the trophy!

And the line? We waited like 10 minutes, tops and they gave us hot cocoa.
