I was down to the last gift, and my mom set the stage. She made us turn off the tv and be totaly quiet. I opened this box to find the Tribune White Sox book, a great gift if you ask me. But then I look underneath to find a homemade certificate saying that I am a 2006 White Sox season ticket holder!!! 27 games, including a Cubs game and Opening Day (but funny story, I was going anyways with my friends).

I broke down crying right there, and I never cry. Yeah...I'm a little obssesed.

ha, yeah. 10 games last year was by far my record for games attended in a year. Next season should be a blast.

That's awesome. I am so jealous. Have fun. You got cool parents, that's for sure.

Yeah, ever year we get our "big" gift, but the last 2 year I didn't get one, because I got the biggest gift you can get: a college education. So this was a surprise to say the least.

Cool parents with top priorities. College and the Sox. You're a lucky guy!

Congrats '76 - sounds like you have great parents, with proper priorities.
My parents, thankfully, gave me that college education as well. And they had the good fortune of birthing me during the 2 years of their lives they lived in Chicago, so I could be a Sox fan.

Enjoy those games.

Man, I've got to move to Chicago.

not as good as that...but i got a good present too... the smallest present i see i open first to see a 2005 world series ball, which was pretty cool, but then look at the card attatched and it says '2006 Ozzie Plan'...talk about the best present...only bad thing is a lotta good tickets are gone...but 13 games....SICK!!!

haha, no they're trying to get rid of the 3 of us so they can go do their own thing. lol!

They give us these nice gifts so we leave them alone. :D:

Just kidding, yeah sometimes I have to sit back and look at how lucky we are. It wasn't always like this, that's for sure, but I've been truly blessed these last few years. Don't think I'm some spoiled brat who gets all these nice things. I had to live through years of off brand foods and one pair of shoes a year, if we were lucky. haha
