Walnuts sucked again today. Seriously. KW don't re-sign the overpriced bag of balls. He sucks and will come back to kill us in the postseason.

Also Geoff Blum doesn't belong on the postseason roster. I guarantee his presence will come back and haunt our team.

Aaron Rowand did run down some balls, he was great out there. And Everett had a key hit. Hummmmmmmmm.

The chat was pretty fun. There were only 4 of us tonight though, and I was only there for a little bit. Batman and Jjav were there before me.

I'm disappointed in you guys...:D:

There's still a lot of work to be done here. Boston doesn't give up easily and they've come back under much more adverse circumstances.

Actually watched it in a Boston bar and everybody got into it.

Heard from one patron " Berman is rooting so hard for Chicago...."

I'm not worried however Game 3 at Fenway and we were in a bigger hole last year against the Yankees.

This series has a long way to go

Attendance was at an all-time low. I guess the Cubune and other publications were right about us not filling up our own ballpark for big games.

I just got home from the game after meeting up with ChiSoxGirl at the Bullpen Sports Bar during the post game festivities. Somehow I feel I've done this a time before...

What? Seriously?

I can see how his objective call of "Noooooooooooooo!" when Uribe's grounder split Graff's wickets could throw even the most discerning mind off track.

Garcia is pitching in Game 3, and he's been lights out on the road. This would be a great time for Damaso Marte to step up.

Buehrle looked awful today. He was lucky not to give up a lot more runs.
If the Sox make it past Boston he will never be able to shut down the Angels offense.
The Sox were also lucky to get that break on Tony G's error. They will never get breaks like that in the ALCS since the level of play will be much higher. You won't see anyone making any bonehead mistakes in an ALCS game.

While rewatching that play over again a couple dozen times (which is great fun BTW) I started to notice and erie similarity to a certain call made by a radio announcer a few years back when an outfielder dropped an easy fly ball.

What did strike me about this game was that Aaron did get a huge hit with that double down the line which really kick-started the wonderous rally. He also had a two out hit in the first inning of game one. After these two games I do not think he did much but he did help us get this first series.

I also noted the Carl was only one to hit wells til the rally. And his postgame interview was so Carl. He never gives an inch in those interviews and always played the hard guy with the chip on the shoulder.

I fear we will miss Carls edge. At least we have AJ around for some swagger. Everyone else on this team is a nice guy. Sometimes you need a badass for that mental edge.

I have this weird feeling Marte is going to have a huge game for us tonight and I just hope to god they dont bring in El Duque. He has done nothing for us lately. Once he comes in, game over. I think this is going to game four where we will have a better chance against Schilling than Wakefield. We can not hit that Knuckle ball to save our life. I LIVE FOR THIS!!!!!!

I always remember the sox rocking Wakefield...or getting completely shut down. I don't know what to expect.

On El Duque. He's been god awful the second half.. but he does have that post season experience. But I still don't trust him...much.

I can't see any reason why El Duque should come in during this post-season. His arm is finished. I would only bring him in if there's some kind of Boston blowout so he can mop up. Come on -- who the hell wants El Duque up there with the game on the line? You can kiss that game goodbye!

At this point, I'd rather see Widger warm up in the bullpen before El Duque.

Wow. Watching Game 3 again I'm amazed by 2 things: 1) El Duque's amazing relief performance of course, and 2) what a homer Boston-loving tool Chris Berman is. He had to have gone through 4 pairs of pants during this game, as he soiled a pair each time the Blowsawx hit a home run. I'm glad I originally watched this one at Monk's (with a big WSI crew) where you couldn't hear the sound.

When el Duque K's Damon, we all yell in unison: "Oh -- he gets him to goooo!" It really adds to the enjoyment, knowing he got sent home unhappy. Sutcliffe seemed to enjoy gigging Berman a bit, too.

Anyone else notice the picture quality of the replays is fuzzy? Glad I didn't delete the originals from our Tivo drive.
