Seattle gets Jarrod Washburn in a 4 year deal. Terms not mentioned in the ESPN story.

Its actually 37.5m. Damn, yet another crual blow to the pitching market, at this rate Jon's a sure bet to get 13per.

I was hoping that the Brewers would find a way to land him. They were smart not to pay that kinda cash though

Yikes. Men, teach your boys to pitch with their left arm.

Does this put Seattle out of the running for Millwood? I do not want him going back to Cleveland. He did decline arbitration, didn't he?

Oh that's right, he has Satan - er, Boras for an agent. Of course he declined...

I heard on ESPN 1000 that Milwood is meeting w/ the Rangers soon. Take it for what it's worth.

What an awful signing by the mariners. Washburn is not worth that much at all. a 3.20 era does not really reflect his pitching last year. Here is an article that I found that really shows why.

The Rangers desperately need to do something if they are planning to stay afloat in the AL West.

Angels reached the ALCS (when in doubt tag him out, Josh.)

A's have improved.

Seattle has bought some improvements.

Texas unloaded Soriano which will help.

I don't think Texas has one pitcher now that would be the #5 starter on the White Sox.
