...Your Chicago White Sox.

Our Pale Hose finished 4th in the running for TIME for Kids Person of the Year, losing to a certain child novelist by the name of JK Rowling.

Thought that was a little interesting.

Actually, this is rather cool.

4th place among every single news story and newsmaker in the world.

Don't forget... these kids are future hard-core fans.

Ah, yes...

Some fans called the team the "Black Sox" because they couldn't win the championship.
Um, no. Nobody called them that for that reason.

The White Sox had long been standing in the shadow of the Cubs, Chicago's more popular baseball team. Though the hard-luck Cubs have not won a World Series since 1908, the rivalry between the two teams is intense. But the excitement of having a team from Chicago in the World Series proved to be more important to some Cubs fans. Many cheered for the White Sox after their big win.
...sigh.
