we are only 3 months away from april and spring training will begin shortly so its time for those predictions on records line-ups and rotations and possibly more free agent transactions.
P.S. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone
1. Ray-ray2B(only one more year and maybe darrin erstad)
2. Jose Valentin3b/ss(with a healthy year maybe even more homers than last year.
3. Frank thomasDH- frank has something to prove to his teamates after some in the locker room doubted his injury.
4. MagglioRF- getting even better\
5. Carlos LeeLF- his first half was great and hopefully he can get over his dismal second half and continue to improve.
6. Paulie1B- 40 homers
7. Aaron Rowrand- 15 homers
8. Joe Crede3b- 18 homers in his first year
9. Sandy Alomar- hopefully his knees will hold up i think he will only play 110 games in the reg. season, in preparations for the 'offs
Pitching rotation
1. Mark Buerhle- he may struggle in the beginning with the number 1 title, but then will be his normal self. 200 innings
2. Rick helling(hopefully)- 200 innings and probably 15 wins
3. jim parque- hoping for anything here though i think he will bounce back
4. Todd Ritchie- really a number 3 starter but jerry likes to mix it up, 200 innings
5. Jon Garland- could be a big season for him maybe a 3.20 e.r.a.
bullpen:
1.Glover- long relief man
2. Biddle- 2nd long relief man
3. Wunsch- lefty specialist, setup/late inning
4. Kohlmeier- lefty specialist
5. Barcelo- middle relief
6. Osuna - setup man
7.Howry- a full year after surgery hopefully his fastball is back and hes better
8. Foulke- why would you want to trade someone who converted 42 out of 45 saves.
bench:
1. Mark Johnson/ Josh Paul- whoever wins the fight
2.Graffiano
3. Liefer/Clayton/Brian simmons- whoever plays the best in spring training should get the 3rd bench spot, i think Liefer could be good trade bait
final prediction
sox 94 and 68, 1st in thr AL central by 9 games. 2nd in the AL to the Yanks
we go to the ALDS beating the mariners in 5 and then we go to the ALCS where we are swept the Yanks.
let the flaming begin!
