From Ron Rappoport's column today in the Sun-Times:
"John Rooney is going to be a busy guy when baseball season starts in St. Louis. Not only will the longtime Sox announcer do the Cardinals' games, but he also will be on morning and postgame shows. "You'll hear a lot of John Rooney on KTRS,'' the station's boss, Tim Dorsey, told the St.Louis Post-Dispatch. "You're going to get your fill of Rooney.''
And here's an intriguing aspect to Rooney's move: The Cardinals moved to KTRS because they felt they were being lowballed by KMOX, their longtime radio home. Rooney left the Sox because he didn't like the offer he received from their new radio outlet, WSCR. Both KMOX and WSCR are owned by Infinity Broadcasting."
