Does anyone have any idea how much the tickets will run for in Anaheim and/or San Diego? I wanna go!

Wow, ticket prices are high.

MLB on Monday ran a full color full page ad in the Boston Globe pitching tickets, so I assume the same ad is running in other markets.

I think MLB is going to find this a hard sell. Spring Training fans in Florida are not going to flock to Orlando even with the team from the DR.

When Bud Selig doubled playoff prices a few years ago he was quoted as saying "people won't think it is a premier event unless we charge more" and cited the Super Bowl as proof

I think the finals should be in Los Angeles as you you might fill the park there, San Diego maybe tougher

Na, they should go with a Neutral site.

I hear Bucharest is nice in the Spring.

I wasn't being sarcastic. I want to see Puerto Rico vs. Japan in an Eastern European country.

Actually ticket prices are sold in "strips" which include the 2 semi-final games and the final at the prices indicated. It's actually pretty cheap considering you can see a DH on Saturday and the finals Monday night all for 1 price.

Bit too America-centric with the locations. If they really want to spread baseball, they should have more foreign locations.

Perhaps, however, outside of US/Japan/PR, the stadiums don't meet the standards.

These prices suck. No way i'm trucking down to orlando and the only deal i can get is $84 for a crap lawn seat in a park which isn't even an MLB venue.

They obviously don't anticipate much demand with all these mickey mouse stadiums (har har) they're using.

The prices suck? :?: $84 gets you tickets to 6 games! $14 per game is not bad, imho.

Yeah.. everyone needs to keep in mind that these are for multiple games.. something like 6 tickets/ strip (IIRC). So really the prices aren't too terrible..

I agree, but lets remember MLB created this whole thing. There is no FIFA of FIBA to govern this sport internationally, so our best friend Selig and his boys have all the say in this.

We all know this is a money making ploy by MLB.

I just got mine for Anaheim too. We should meet up before the games with any other LA/OC area WSI member.

No chaerulez, this is an effort to promote the game internationally. We just choose to do it by allowing fans to buy $100+ ticket strips, $20 parking, and $7 sodas...

Well thanks for the links...I got mine.

Prices ain't that bad. $56 for the strip in upper view in Anaheim and $75 for San Diego (also multiple games) I'll probably spend more on parking, SD charges $20, Anaheim $10.

MLB.COM ran a story last night that they had sold 60% of the US tickets. I would have thought more...
