Disagree on the second part. Mark Sweeney is a good pinch-hitter and a very nice bench player for an NL team. That's a good signing for the Giants.

The Royals are stockpiling bad/medicore veteran pitching apparently.

It's an upgrade over the ****ty pitchers they've had the last few years.
