View Full Version : HELP! I need a TITLE!!

12-07-2005, 07:04 PM
Ok, I found someone to MAKE me the monster matted Sox tribute picture collage that I am looking for. He has a machine that cuts out the mat into collegiate style letters - it can say anything that I want in big bold double matted 3 inch letters on the top of the 4 foot x 3.5 foot matted collage of player cards and a panoramic shot. It should be incredible!

My mother in law has one from the Red Sox that says "The Curse Reversed".

HOWEVER - professional Sox fans - what title do I put on the top of my White Sox mega $$ collage? All ideas welcome!!! I need your help!

Don't stop believing,
Win or die trying,
something like that.

I always liked "The South Side Shall Rise Again" for anything Sox-related.

(it's from the Veeck book)

I like Daver's suggestion as well, but it all depends on the audience. "Beelzabub" may be too obscure for some. I'd plug in "Satan" and go with that. Or maybe "Satan Is Ice Skating while Cubs Fans Chill. Again." :D:

Miracle on 35th St?

You kids!

This was first used in reference to the '83 Sox. At least as far as I know, but it could have been used even earlier. Like when I was a kid--back before they invented electricity.

Oh, that's nice too! I think your problem will be narrowing the suggestions down to one.

And here's mine: A Season Worth Waiting a Lifetime For

But, seriously go with Win or Die Trying. It was the slogan for the whole year.

No, don't use "Miracle on 35th St." This was no miracle! The best team won.

I think I am going to go with

"WIN OR DIE TRYING!" It was a good slogan for an incredible year! And it is Grinder rule #1 after all!!!

I just can't put a Journey title on something this special - although the whole song "story" with the players etc was pretty funny and memorable. Maybe I can frame the album - something else to do!

Believe it! Came from the Tribune - I can't bare to even look at it.....what a joke! And just plain Believe is too Red Sox - too last year!

Thanks guys!!

The Hall of Fame's exhibit is called "South Side Sweep," which I think captures it.

Yeah, it will be expensive, but not as expensive as tickets to every playoff and WS game! This will be my memory masterpiece! I can't wait to get it!!! It is worth every cent! Just like Paulie!
