E.S.P.N. radio, and numerous newspaper reports have Millwood extremely close to signing with the M's. Nice pick up for Seattle with their spacious park if they can seal the deal.

Paul Byrd as his replacement is a significant drop-off for the Cleveland rotation

Good. Anywhere but Cleveland.

If true that would be a very solid pickup for Seattle, though I still don't like the rest of the rotation outside of him and King Felix.

Why would he want to go to a losing team? That makes no sense to me. Are the Mariners still going after that Japanese catcher?

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

That's why. If he's getting a 4-year deal and $44 million from the Mariners, I doubt he would get that anywhere else.

Are the Mariners still going after that Japanese catcher? You mean the one they signed to a 3-year deal before Thanksgiving?

How could you not like the up and coming Jamie Moyer?
