Shopping: Traded CF Aaron Rowand; likely will pass on offering arbitration to DH Frank Thomas; RHP Dámaso Marte, RHP Orlando Hernández, OF Joe Borchard.
Wish list: Acquired DH Jim Thome; retained 1B Paul Konerko.

Having a secondary rooting interest in the Rockies, that column just reminds me of how much more I hope the Rockies get Yorvit Torrealba. That guy would be a great power hitter at Coors.

If Mike Hampton can hit 7 home runs as a pitcher w/the Rockies, then Torreabla can hit 30 with the Rockies.

If all the Sox need is a left-handed utility infielder, they are in pretty good shape.

Although I think they also could benefit by having a certain right-handed power hitter on their bench for spot DH duties!

I think the Sox are looking to upgrade their lefty relief pitching, they'd like to trade Marte for someone who throws strikes.
