and I noticed this:

"I want to thank these guys for putting me on their backs and carrying me to the finish line. This is the best day of my life"
--Frank Thomas

as happy as I am to have Thome, as much as I'll miss Rowand...

I will always love Frank Thomas and I will miss him so much. He's been on the White Sox forever in my eyes and I almost cried when he said that.

Same here. I did see it on Target's website for $12.99. They may do a better job delivering than mlb.com.

I was just at the local Borders, and they must have had at least 50 copies scattered throughout the store. Some at the front, some by the DVDs, some by the registers. I bought one ($15, i think)

Amazon has it for the same price and they'll do a good job shipping for free.

Amazon is owned by Target and has very fast service I order most of my media items through Amazon.

Ah, thanks much. The Best Buys around here claim to have it. If they don't, I'll go through Amazon.

I saw that live (I think) and I thought it showed total class. I knew that Frank Thomas was the best hitter in Sox history, maybe the best in baseball at his peak, and the Sox mvp for years, but I didn't call myself a fan until I heard that.

Actually, Amazon and Target are both publicly owned companies. Amazon manages Target's online sites, but I don't think there's a significant ownership interst there.

It was actually on sale at the local HMV up here! :bandance:

Yeah, I started crying too, less than a minute in. It was not all a dream!

They built up Blum's Game 3 HR nicely -- imagine how much footage they must have available in order to find some pre-game clips of Blum hoping for an at-bat! Some of the extras were unexpected: the 1959 WS Game 1 recap and the piece on Ozzie Guillen falling to the "ball in glove" trick TWICE. The stunned look on his face is great.
