Right now we have a the best problem a major league baseball team can have.... 6 quality starters for 5 spots.

What do you think is going to come out of this situation?

Umm...I'll take a stab at 'something good' ....?

:?:

I don't think there's any question that El Duque will be in the pen to start the season, if that's what you're shooting for here....

And yes, Buehrle-Contreras-Garcia-Garland-Mccarthy is the best rotation in baseball. No question about it.

Buehrle, Contreras, Garland, Garcia, McCarthy with El Duque either being traded or coming out of the pen like he did in the playoffs.

El Duque will be an asset in the pen. He proved that in Boston last October.

The Sox need to keep El Duque. No rotation goes the whole season without needing a sixth starter at some point. The Sox have little pitching in the minors that could step up in the big leagues. Without El Duque the Sox will have the same problem that the Sox had before last season.

Exactly, El Duque is the perfect "insurance policy" and can easily fill the role of the long man out of the pen.

Depth is a wonderful thing. When you have it, try your best to keep it.

It's simple. The five best pitchers start.

And, for the record, I think Mark Buehrle is the best pitcher in the American League.

Keep the arms and make a run again. I can't wait for baseball to start and the Bears are doing well...Shoot, wake me when the Blackhawks end up in the Stanley Cup.
