Yes but you have to remember that we are inferior here in the midwest. Those teams are the only 2 teams in baseball that matter. I for one, would be proud to spend $500 on a seat to see those elite and historic franchises.

Back in 2003 I sat in some very good seats for a White Sox game at Fenway that cost $75. During a conversation with some Red Sox season ticket holders behind me I mentioned that I had White Sox season tickets in almost the exact same location but the tickets were only $30 each. The guy wouldn't believe me. The higher payrolls on the east coast are not gifts from the owners, much of it comes directly out of the fans pockets (and the rest indirectly). Average fans have been completely priced out of some seat locations.

I show Boston friends the WS prices from the pocket schedule and jaws drop.

Most of my friends have gone from 5-6 games a year to 2. In 10 years upper boxes have gone from 16 to 85.

Also, it helps when King George can have cable providers charge $4 for YES (Yankees Entertainment Sports/Station...something like that). I think I can remember reading on how he won a suit forcing the cable stations to pick up YES. That will definitely help build the payroll.

Nonetheless, I'd hate to be a Yankees, Red Sox, or Flubs fan. It would cost an arm and a leg to try to watch my favorite team in person. I'm glad the Sox are able to offer affordable prices. However, they could work on $17 parking. I hate paying more for parking than for tickets.

I hope Boss George keeps right on price-gouging Yankee fans... higher ticket prices to help pay for bad baseball decisions, LOL.

As long as he's there as principle-owner, he'll keep driving that organization right into the ground.

9 season-ticket holders and the team salary is paid off.
