Top 10 Turkey's of 2005. Look whats #2

In the worst postseason in memory for Major League Baseball umpires, Doug Eddings stood out with his bizarre call that launched the Chicago White Sox to their first championship in 88 years.

Hmmmpghhh. I'm surprised they aren't griping about the FREE HOME RUN the umps spotted the Astros in the World Series, thereby robbing Jon Garland of a WS victory and necessitating a 5+ hour marathon that didn't end until after 1 in the morning.

Wow. We will never hear the end of this?

That call didn't "launch us" to the championship. It didn't even launch us to the game 2 victory. The defensive indifference and the horrible 0-2 pitch to Crede "launched" us to that win.
As for the other 10 wins, Im pretty sure the best pitching staff in baseball launched us to them.

We'll hear the end of it alright...... After we smoke the League again on our way to the repeat.

The Sox could win five straight championships and these smirking, sneering,
jagoff mother****ers will never give them the least little respect.

I love how everyone automatically assumes that the Angels would've won in
extra innings. Why is that? How do they know that the White Sox wouldn't
have won? Memo to all the smirking sneering mother****ers: there is no
guarantee that the Angels would've won, and I'd love to have you idiots
prove otherwise.

PS: Eddings didn't hang that 0-2 pitch to Crede, you asswipe.

And people wonder why White Sox fans are supposedly so hostile? They
shouldn't wonder.

I guess that whole wire-to-wire thing had nothing do with it. That one call somehow affected all the subsequent ALCS and WS games in favor of the White Sox.....

I thought being able to write with logic was requirement for being a journalist.

IMO, the fact that juicing, lying, teammate-under-the-bus-throwing Rafael Palmeiro is only number 4 on his list completely discredits this jag-off.

If you dont like that from foxsports.com read what Dayn Perry wrote:

The only fans who should be happy about the Thome-Rowand deal are those in Philly and those in Cleveland and Minnesota. That's because the reigning world champs are a worse team for having made this trade.

This guy always writes trash about the sox.

Sholdn't that be "Will we never hear the end of this??"
Answer the man's question,Hawk:
:hawk
"No".

As long as the Eastern Seaboard Putz Network exists, there are only
3 important teams in MLB:the Yankmees, the Blow Sawx and ,of course,
the sCrUBS.The Sox are still #2 in this city.It was brought up earlier in this
post that the Sox could win 5 WS and still not get the respect they
deserve.Amen to that.I became a Sox fan because,in my mind,
they were the ultimate underdog.Their players weren't soft and
cuddly, they were dirty and gritty. And having endured one of the
worst decades of Sox baseball (the 70's minus '72 and '77),this
WS championship is a reward for my suffering of 35 years of
mediocrity (God knows others suffered much longer).
