Did anyone see the new Grinder ball rule #174 in the Tribune last Monday? It had a skyline photo with the "Go Sox" lit up in the downtown buildings.

What was the text for the Grinder Rule? Grinder Rules always are accompanied by some sort of text.

The ad stated "Grinder ball rule #174: Hoist your city up on their shoulders. They'll return the favor."
I attached a copy of the ad to this message. It is also on Whitesox.com.

click "chain letter". They have the "e-mail addresses" for some players and coaches, some are funny. Jermaine Dye= spiderman@whitesox.com, pods= speedy@whitesox.com, i'm pretty sure they're not real.
Anyway, does anyone know if there actually are #174 grinder rules? I thought it was one of those things were they have rule #1, rule #12, rule #28, etc with random numbers.

They are random numbers. I believe the actual count is somewhere around 30.

well, i know someone who has a "book," and if i recall correctly, there are only actual ads for about thirty, but they have many more grinder rules listed, just without accompanying illustrations.

Does anyone have a complete list of the grinder ball rules?
I checked some old threads here, but didn't see any complete lists.

I'm pretty sure that the #174 is symoblic of how many games the White Sox played on their way to the World Championship. 162 regular season games, plus 12 post-season games. (11-1) I like it.
