It gives me chills all overNot sure if that has more to do with the fact that no one but Sox fans are left in the park. Lots of echo. :redneck

I'm not too fond of the 'White Sox Nation' name either.

As for that clip, I feel like I know a lot of people from the Chicagoland area that have moved out to Denver or Colorado in general. Maybe Denver is a common relocation city for Chicagoans, and thats why there was a following there.

It gives me chills all overI agree that was chilling. I felt the same way when I watched the game.

I feel there are a lot of Sox fans out there than people think. I think they just never felt comfortable being public about it. I hope the World Series win changes that.

GO SOX!!!

There were a good number of Sox fans at the two games I went to out here in Denver. It seems to me that alot of people born in the midwest live in the area.

Denver is a mecca for people relocating period. Most when they first come out are between 20-30ish (myself included). And many do come from the midwest.

I became very aware of the large Sox following prior to the WS. I needed a new Sox shirt to wear for the games. I went to a prominent, although not very large, sports store. They had 4 Sox t-shirt, all the same just different sizes. I asked the guy working about the lack of Sox stuff and he said everything they had was bought before the Sox series out here. The other store closer to Coors Field was also out of clothing.

During the series, I went to a popular sports bar to watch the game. There were always at least 5 other Sox fans there, usually more.

Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, and Arkansas are entirely devoid of White Sox fans. Now, you will see a LOT of Red Sox, Cubs, and Cardinals hats. Oh, yeah..and Braves. We are NOT a "Nation". We're a pocket of fans. So....

WHITE SOX POCKET!!!

I much prefer "Sox Army" over "Sox Nation" for a few reasons.

1) "Sox Nation" is more Red Sox than White in originality and accuracy.
2) It sounds tougher.
3) It sounds more populist to me, which I think is a good fit for us.
4) It has a distant reference to the Kiss Army, which, with the way same-era AC/DC goes down on the South Side, seems to be a cool, subtle fit.
5) It's pretty original, as far as sports goes.

Honestly guys, there aren't too many of us out here. There are some relocated southsiders. I went to all three games out here and it was lonely in the stands. It's just that the Rockies really don't command the loyalty of the fans yet. they need to do something. In addition, among Denver Natives the number one team is, and has been for my entire life, the New York Yankees. The Denver Bears were the top farm club for the Yankees in their glory years. When the Yanks were here for interleague play, the commentators on YES were amazed at the fact that the Rockies were the number two team in Denver. They were sure it was due to transplants. It wasn't. Among transplants, polls indicate that the St. Louis Cardinals rank first.

I live in Phoenix, which is the melting pot of America and there are quite a few people walking around out here with White Sox gear of late...
I think this team is quite popular around the nation.
Maybe there is a White Sox Nation forming.

I'm a member of "White Sox Nation" at the University of Illinois. The club was formed in August and I just signed up so I could get the cool shirt which I put "Pods" and "Mercy" on the back of.

sorry its not ARMY... which also sounds cool

sorry its not ARMY... which also sounds cool Army/Nation same thing to me. The use of nation for a fanbase was not started by the Red Sox. To me it applies to every teams fanbase. If people are against trendy names for their fanbase then both would be out. So Sox Nation, Sox Army, whatever I'm just glad your out there rooting for the Sox.
