I didn't see this posted anywhere- Ed Sherman has a nice review of the World Series DVD coming out Nov. 29th, and also mentions all 4 games will be released on DVD in March...

Terrif! I'd like all 12 playoff games on DVD, but the World Series is the big gun,
so I'll take it.

And did you see who is going to host the first "White Sox Weekly"? Mike North!

NNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! :whiner:

:ass

Hiya, folks. Dis is Mike Nort' here. Dis year da Sahx won dere first Worlds
Serious since 1917, when we was kickin' da hell outta dem sausage-breathed
Krauts and MY GUY! Al Capone was a young, aspiring hoodlum in a house
a' ill disputes. My first guest on Sahx weekly is MY GUY! Tony Culotta, who
ended da life a my favorite guy in da whole world, Tony Spilotro. Ya know,
I once went up ta Tony da Ant and sniffed his armpit, so now I got plenty a
Outfit cred!

Now I know you Sahx fans are gonna ax 'what's dis Outfit guy gotta do wit'
baseball? Well, he ended MY GUY! Tony's life wit' a baseball bat! So dat's
baseball enough fer me and quit yer usual complainin'!

*SHIVER* Good Lord, any WSIer could easily put on a more enjoyable show than North.

By the way, I can't help but picture Darth Vader busting out that "NOOOOO!"

Oh, my head is spinning.http://community.the-underdogs.org/smiley/happy/spin2.gif There will be three Sox DVD's. The MLB DVD comng out November 29, the Sox Pride DVD available December 6, and the World Series original broadcast DVD coming out in March.

I'm sure we're only seeing the beginning of this. With all of the avenues MLB and ESPN have to make money, I'll guarantee you there will be many more DVD's to spend your money on.

No, it's Mike North, general jagbag and Sox announcer wannabe...

I can't wait until the complete games come out in March!:D: Game 3 will be the first game I'll watch since I fell asleep on it in the 10th inning which was roughly around 12:30 a.m. out here in Cincy.

The best news I've heard in a while, given that I don't have Tivo to record the games when they re-air on Comcast...:D:

I hate to harp on this, but does anybody know if the DVDs will be in widescreen format (and 5.1 surround)? I have a hard time watching square TV any more. I assume so, since the playoff games were broadcast in HD, but just checking.

HD would be nice. Even better would be a feature enabling you to switch to the radio broadcast (sans delay) instead of Buck/McCarver.

I hope they put all 12 playoff games on DVD.
I had some VCR problems (and some programer problems) so my collection is incomplete.

I agree, I still think Game 2 of the ALDS was one of the most exciting- Tad's 3-run bomb after the Graf error was just awesome...

I set it to 2-hour record mode (minus commercials) and was sweating it out until Bobby J. shut the door with two minutes to spare. :gulp:

We were at every home post-season game, and the crowd that night was the wildest. From the 5th inning and beyond, that is . . .
