Ol' No. 2

WSCR is going to begin airing a year-round radio show beginning this weekend. It will be hosted by WSCR talent (I guess that leaves Murphy out).

"OK, Sox fans, I wanna hear from you today. The Sox have re-signed Paul Konerko and just got Carlos Delgado wrapped up for 3 years as well as that Carlos Beltran for Willie Harris deal...how do you think this will impact the Cubs?"

I think the show is a great idea, but maybe 11:00- 12:00 on a Saturday is a little awkward as far as time slot goes. I hope it is successful and provides a lot of good info.

Although they've had a cubs daily show for the past ten years (Murph), it's nice to have an OFFICIALLY titled show, exclusively for the Sox. I'm glad Farmer is hosting instead of Offman or one of the other tools.

I would shocked if Offman didn't participate:

The show will be hosted by WSCR talent, including White Sox play-by-play announcer Ed Farmer.

That alone makes me an expert on everything- basketball, politics, medical terminology, the law...and especially, White Sox baseball. So join me as we talk about the Chicago White Sox. I'll use big words that make me sound EVEN SMARTER, I'll call everyone names, cut off callers, and talk about the delicious, complicated, hard to prepare dinner that I, in all my brilliance, made last night."

The Score has "talent"? I must have missed something. I'm not sure about the rest of you but I'm a tad embarrassed to be associated with this meathead radio station. John Rooney left because these mopes didn't see fit to pay him what he is worth.

Rooney= Integrity.

The Score= Boneheads.

"Hey ! Don't forget about me ! I was born and raised a Cub fan, but I'm really a fan of both teams. Wanna see me wear my Sherlock Holmes style Sox/Cubs hat ? Remember my SOLID White Sox pre and post game during the World Series ? I mean, it's like a tree falling in the forest, and there's nobody there to see it. That's because Wisconsin is practically right over the border. Besides, the grass is always greener, 'till you get there !"

It's going to be George & Jessie, mainly, I'm guessing, with Fred Huebner and Lawrence Holmes helping out on occasion.

Yea, I doubt it will be any of the main weekday guys (North, Murph, Bernstein, etc.).

I actually like Lawrence Holmes and I think he would do a good job. Would you guys rather have no show at all? I think it's good to have 3 hours a week dedicated to the Sox, even when it's snowing out

Funny, but seriously. Dan Bernstein is the premier host on The Score.

I'm sorry to hear you believe that. But, everyone has a right to their opinion.

I love the fact that the sox are getting a great signal and a show on WSCR, but there really is no talent to speak of. Actually Murphy is the best they got, and I think he did a good job on his show during the Sox post-season run.

Yes, but only if you have a sense of humor and don't take sports inappropriately seriously.

Unfortunately, this is true. :(: Don't shoot the messenger, but I saw this in Feder's column this morning:

*Mike North, morning personality on Infinity's sports/talk WSCR-AM (670), will host the inaugural edition of "White Sox Weekly," a one-hour showcase for commentary, interviews and news at 11 a.m. Saturdays, starting this weekend.

Under a five-year deal announced last June, the Score is the new radio home of the White Sox. As the 2006 season approaches, the show will expand to two hours.
