The baseball player if one exists, not the murderer.

My mother just gave me a Sox pin that she found in her drawer of a 1970's red Sox hat with the name Scott Petersen underneath it. I never heard of him, so I did a search on baseballreference.com and came up with nothing. Has anyone ever heard of this guy?

Possibly a promo for the Chicago based sausage maker of the same name.

I believe Scott Petersen was the company sponsoring the pin giveaway. I have some White Sox hat pins with Scott Peterson on them.

what happened to scott petersen hot dogs? when did they stop being the official hot dog of the sox?

I don't know, but I still refer to the jumbo kosher dogs at the park as "Scott Peterson Wieners." :cool:
