WASHINGTON -- Baseball star Rafael Palmeiro will not be prosecuted on perjury charges after lawmakers said Thursday there isn't enough evidence to prove he lied when he told Congress under oath that he had "never used steroids" _ six weeks before failing a steroid test.

No suprise there, but the damage is already done. Raffy is irrelevant to me now.

Typical Washington crap. Raffy is done though, his career being tarnished is punishment enough.

Actually, it's not crap, since they couldn't prove he had taken steroids at the time he appeared before Congress.

I figured thats the case. If you can't prove he took steriods before the testimony, you can't charge him.
