I world for the Post Office and we got in what is known as a photo card celebrating the World Series Champion Chicago White Sox.:D:

There is a choice of 6 or 7 different pictures (one is the field for Game 1),
and undernearth is an envelope with World Series Champions Chicago White Sox on it.

There is a choice of two postmarks: one is Oct 22, from Chicago. The second is Oct. 26, from Houston.

I remember somewhere here someone was looking for unusual WS items. I asked if all post offices would carry them, and was told only the post offices who ordered them. So you might have to do some searching.

The cost is 19.99, and it's suitable for framing.

Any chance we can see a photo of the, um, photos? I don't often run to the post office and want to know if it's going to be worth the trip.

Sorry, but I don't have a photo of the photos. But here's what I remember seeing of the pictures:

Single player photos of:

Paulie
Buehrle
Pods
Contreras
Jenks

and I think Crede

Group Photos:

One picture had 3 or 4 Astros on one side, 3 or 4 White Sox on the other.

Pictures of 9 players, plus Ozzie

Group Photo of players celebrating.

Hope this helps.

I remember back in 1998 there was talk of a Sammy Sosa commemorative postage stamp being made. It was test marketed in Chicago for a short time. It did very well on the north side of the city, but not so good on the southside.

It seems the southsiders were unsure of which side of the stamp to spit on!

There could always be a stamp with the Sox logo on it with World Series Champs on it. I love typing World Series Champs.
