He is always involved in some craziness e.g. kidnapping of his mother, this incident. It's sad, because he used to be a solid closer/relief pitcher.

Maybe this is some sort of payback for his mother being kidnapped. Pure speculation on my part obviously.

Yeah, I am thinking the same thing. I am thinking that people in his house had something to do with it, he found out, and wanted to kill them.

Easy, you go to Valpo High (note I went to VHS and was there during the slashing incident last year.)

IIRC, Ugie lived with Ozzie during the during the beginning of the 2005 season before Ugie signed his free agent deal with the Tigers, and that Ozzie considers him a close friend.
