Came across this on the Sox website:

SS Robert Valido -- Valido was pulled from the team for personal reasons on Nov. 1. Infielder Pedro Lopez, who spent most of the 2005 season at Double-A Birmingham, was named as his replacement.

The last game he played was Oct 24th IIRC. Was wondering if he had gone back to South Florida to attend to family matters. Hope that is all it is.
