Now 50, Yount served as a first base and bench coach for the Arizona Diamondbacks from 2002-2004 and left that post after manager Bob Brenly was fired. Yount, who lives in the Phoenix area, had declined past offers from the Brewers to return to Milwaukee.

I saw that. That'll be nice for the Brewers faithful out there.

Good for him to be back in baseball? Will they have to bring his number down since he will likely be wearing it again, much like we had to do with Harold Baines many times.

Good for the Brewers. Who knows, they're a hot pick to do well next year, maybe this will give them an extra push over the top.

I wonder how much time will pass before Yount becomes the Brewers manager? Maybe the Brewers can bring back Molitor, Cecil Cooper, Gorman Thomas and the rest of the True Blu Brew Crew.

That was one of my favorite things about this season. Not just the 2005 team and the way that they played, but the fact that the coaches (our guys) were able to get a ring too. Guillen, Baines, Walker, Raines, Cora....having that White Sox family meant that much more. Hopefully sometime in the future the Brewers could have that type of success with their old guys.

Somebody tell Detroit that having fan favorites on the bench means instant success.

Although I think it's good that Yount's back in Milwaukee. Better situation for them, they're not starting from scratch.
