IIRC, tickets went on sale the weekend of Sox Fest last year, which was the earliest they ever went on sale.

Opening Day is going to be an even tougher ticket than normal now. I may have to get an "Ozzie Plan" if they continue to do that.

I hope I can afford a broker. This may be the toughest opening
day ticket since new Comiskey opened in 1991.

Yep. That'll be the best bet. I had one last year and loved it. You get 2 games/month (you pick them). I'm sure everyone here (within driving distance of Chciago) can committ to two games a month! Why pay a broker top dollar when you can buy 13 games for the same price and be guaranteed opening day, 1 sox/cub game, AND ALDS tickets. It seems like a no brainer to me. It cost me about $1000 last year for 2 lower box and parking and I got all of the above. Besides, increasing the season ticket base is the only way to guarantee attendance which in turn increases payroll!!!

I had season tickets back in 1997 and enjoyed it very much. But the white flag trade really left me with a bad taste and I had not renewed them since 97. I still attend about 30 games a year just without season tickets. 2006 will be the first year since 97 where I will have season tickets. I am going to buy the 81 game plan and plan on having a blast! I urge all of you that have the financial means to buy some plan of season tickets. Hopefully, a substantial increase of season ticket buyers will show management that putting a winner on the field is a VERY good idea!
