Kapler at the right price would be a good pickup, but its pretty clear that KW can never pay the right price.

What's with our obsession with more outfielders?

Kapler is a big upgrade over Singleton. He hits medium double digit homers and walks 60 or so times a year. Not Erstad, but better than 6 homers and 20 walks that we get from singleton.

I still say that Caballo and/or Singleton will be moved before ST....

Truer words were never spoken...well, um...typed. :D:

I do like Kapler, he's at the breakthrough stage in his career. Is it just me or is the guy always hurt, though?

Good question. I do think we need to upgrade at CF, but i think our greatest need is an ace SP and a decent SS.......

Where are we gonna pick up an ace SP? I hate to think about what KW would give up to get an ace...after seeing how much he gave up for TR!

Only if they throw in a worthless minor leaguer.

Let's hope Buehrle builds on his 2001 success. Heading into 2002 as the staff ace is asking a lot outta him, especially with very few(if any) other established starters on the staff. I'll say this for Buehrle, if he hadn't stepped up big last season, KW would still be sitting on all of the young arms & wouldn't be as willing to trade them to improve the team for the 2002 season.

Back to Kapler. He has always looked like a world beater against us. Didn't he have a 30 game hitting streak once? He'd be a good fit, but God knows how much KW can gut this team further. It had better be a one for one.

He needs to get on the Big Frank workout. Lot's of lazy boy time and crispy cremes. Herm Schneider developed it.
