Does anyone know where I can find a timeline of when the Sox used which hats in their games? My dad was wearing his cool obscure cursivey "C" hat at work and some people were asking him when they used it because they did not believe it was a Sox hat. He replied sometime in the 80's but was not sure exactly when. Thanks if any of you can help.

I know that there have been timelines in a few of the Sox programs the last few years.

I believe it was the late 80's, maybe even into 90/91. Though I could be mistaken, since I would have been under 10 then, but I've seen playing cards with Donn Paul, Sammy Sosa, and yes even Frank Thomas wearing that hat. If of course, it is the one I am thinking of.

Also, is there a comprehensive compliation of all the hat used by the White Sox anywhere? I know whitesox.com has some stuff about logos and uniforms but nothing much about hats. As a hat man, this has sparked interest in me.

I have the Twins Enterprise version of the "C" hat - the one with the year(or one of the years) the hat was used. That one says 1987.

They wore the cursive "C" from 1987 through the middle of September of 1990. In the last two weeks of the season of 1990, the Sox unveiled their new black and silver unis (which were supposed to debut in 1991 at the New Comiskey, but they decided to break them out for the close of Old Comiskey).

LOL - where were you last week. I just donated a t-shirt from the mid 90s that featured several Sox hats through the years to a local church for hurricane relief. (it was a couple of sizes too small)

D'oh, that sounds like a dope shirt. But, it was for a good cause right? So, I'm not too bummed. Now, if you gave away those hats on the shirt I would be bummed.

Nice. Good call. I have totally looked at that before, but I forgot where to find it. Thanks!
